Leeds Trinity University (LTU) is a notable example of a university that has strong leadership and innovative academic support for students.
As a course rep, one would expect me to be biased, but I hold this university in high regard. Actually, I have interviewed many students, and they all say that the experience of university life at LTU is a positive one: the teaching is top notch, library facilities are great, the learning hub and academic support is unparalleled, mental health and student welfare being is of a high standard and the teaching staff receive commendations from the students for their dedication and commitment. The ethos and culture at LTU allow students to thrive, especially if they are freshers, LTU is their home away from home. In short, students love studying at LTU, which is not surprising since LTU prides itself with being one of the best in the country for excellence in student engagement and excellent work placement programs.
The Catholic Mission correlates the Catholic tradition and values with pedagogy to enrich students holistically. Students are encouraged to develop faith, reason and character as perpetuated by theological scholars St. Thomas Aquinas and St.
Augustine. This in turn will encourage curious questions of a theological, and philosophical nature.
The Mission is dedicated to addressing social inequality and injustices that arise from
poverty and inhumane living conditions to climate change and sustainability. Attribution to The Gospels gives students examples of service in developing communities both here and abroad.
As a Catholic university, LTU fosters an environment for active learning in conjunction with faith, service, and God’s love to enable students to be prepared for high level contributions globally and excellence in their respective careers. Students have opportunities to serve others through leadership and decision-making to make a life- long commitment to making a difference to society based on Catholic truths.
