Widening participation is at the heart of everything Leeds Trinity University does.
We aim to empower every individual to learn and reach their full potential.
We understand that circumstances can have an impact on employment and life progression, which is why Leeds Trinity provides additional support for:
- care leavers
- mature students
- widening participation students
Improving access through collaboration
Leeds Trinity is well placed to raise aspirations and social mobility within the UK.
We collaborate with:
- over hundreds of schools and colleges across the UK
- the Higher Education Liaison Officers' Association (HELOA) as members to encourage best practice
- the Go Higher West Yorkshire (GHYW) Partnership as a key partner to enhance access through higher education developments. You can find more information here: GHWY information (PDF, 114KB)
- Children’s University as the key delivery partner to support access to enriching, extra-curricular learning opportunities for Leeds-based primary school, inspiring a love of learning beyond the classroom.
- NERUPI (Network for Evaluating and Researching University Participation Interventions) to enhance the design and evaluation of our widening participation initiatives. This partnership ensures our programmes are evidence-based, impactful, and aligned with national best practice.
- under-represented groups locally through Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership
