Our sustainability strategy

Our Sustainability Strategy is embedded throughout our Strategic Plan 2021-2026, through our commitments, our values and our Catholic Mission.

This has been agreed at Board level and guides all University activity. Through this, we have clear commitments such as embedding Education for Sustainable Development into all of our programmes, our ambitions to work towards Net Zero and protecting our environment and our commitment to equity and social justice.

Many of these actions are ongoing and embedded into our Sub strategies, action plans, Governance, policies and procedures. Throughout 2024 and 2025, through engagement with our university community, we have been developing a more detailed and holistic Sustainability Value Creation Framework and action plan that will connect together all of our existing and planned activities in this space. This reflects our commitment to embed sustainability into everything we do, take active responsibility for our environmental, social, cultural and economic impacts and crucially to generate holistic sustainability value for people and the planet.

This Framework is going through socialisation and approval processes and will be released during 2025.
