Business Employability Conference 2025

In October, Careers+Placements, in collaboration with the School of Business and Law, hosted their second Business Employability Conference at Leeds City Campus. Students had the opportunity to network with professionals across Finance, Business, and Marketing sectors. The sessions covered a wide range of topics including accountancy, finance, entrepreneurship, personal branding, networking, and graduate schemes.

Guest Speakers Included:

  • Rohan Ali – Director, RDA Financial Accountants Limited
  • Sarah Baugh ACIM – Group Head of Marketing, Professional Security
  • Emily Ramsden – Founder, Emily Rose Co and Business Strategist
  • Tom White – Finance Graduate, Nestlé
  • Sabrina Higgins – Learning and Development Specialist, XPO Logistics Europe

The day concluded with a Careers Fair, where students engaged with organisations such as Hartmann Young, Leeds City Council, Liberty Global, LINK Communication, Mozstro, Sedulo, and XPO Logistics Europe. Each organisation showcased exciting opportunities and placements available to students.
