We’re proud to hold a range of endorsements across the School of Health and Life Sciences. These accreditations ensure that you’ll receive a well-rounded education, meet professional standards, and develop the practical skills and experience employers value most.

Biomedical Science

Our Biomedical Science programme is accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS).

IBMS degree accreditation guarantees that a degree programme meets the academic requirements of the standards of proficiency set by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) for biomedical scientists. This ensures that students receive a comprehensive, research-based scientific education and gain practical skills and experience that are highly valued by employers.

Nursing

Our Nursing courses are approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). On successful completion of our Nursing courses, graduates are eligible to apply to register with the NMC.

Sport and Exercise Sciences

This course is endorsed by the Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES) - the professional body for sport and exercise sciences in the UK.

The course is also endorsed by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), the professional development body for the UK’s sport and physical activity sector, for the Gym Instructor professional standard. Students who successfully complete this course will have met the Gym Instructor professional standard and will be eligible for CIMSPA membership, while also gaining a degree endorsed by an organisation recognised in the professional sector.

Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation 

Our Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation degree is accredited by the Society of Sports Therapists. Students who graduate from this course and fulfil the requirements of membership of the Society of Sports Therapists will be eligible for full membership of the Society.
