Before you step foot on either of our campuses at Leeds Trinity University, you can be sure you'll receive all the help and support you need. Below, you'll find a brief list of things you need to do before joining us.

Getting started at LTU

  1. Apply for student finance

If you haven’t already done so, you should apply for your tuition fee and/or maintenance loans for the 2025/26 academic year as soon as possible to limit any delays.

If you’re a student from England you can apply online at gov.uk. The application process is different if you’re a student from Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

If you need any assistance with your student finance application or have any questions, please contact our Money Advice team at moneyadvice@leedstrinity.ac.uk or call 0113 283 7173.

  2. Book your accommodation

If you’d like to live in our student halls, this is your next important step. Once you've firmly accepted your offer of a place on your chosen course, you'll receive an email from our Accommodation team including details of how to set up an online account. You’re then ready to book your accommodation.

Whether you want to live on our Main Campus in Horsforth or in the city centre close to our City Campus, all of our accommodation options provide a safe, social and supportive home from home, with access to shared facilities including a communal social space, a laundrette and a gym.

If you don't receive the email, please contact our Accommodation team at accommodation@leedstrinity.ac.uk and they'll re-send it.

  3. Join our Unibuddy Community

Get to know other students on your course, find your future flatmates and get the answers to any questions you might have, all before you start. Our Leeds Trinity Unibuddy Community is a great way to connect with fellow applicants who are all in exactly the same position as you. Get excited for starting university this September, together.

  4. Register as a student with us

Once your place has been confirmed in August you’ll be able to register as a student on your chosen course here at Leeds Trinity. We’ll send you a unique username and password giving you access to all of our online systems. You can then register using our online registration facility e:Vision. As part of this process, you’ll need to upload a standard passport-style photo of yourself for your official student ID card.

  5. Download myLTU

Once registered, you’ll then be able to download myLTU – the official app for Leeds Trinity Students. This will be your personalised student portal giving you access to everything you need for life at Leeds Trinity, wherever you are. Links to download the app will be available on this page closer to your arrival date.
