Whether you're choosing to live on our Main Campus in Horsforth, or at Clarence Dock Village in Leeds city centre, we know you'll feel right at home with us.

Leeds is one of the UK’s best student cities. We're confident it won’t take long for you to settle in, make new friends and start exploring all the city has to offer.

What to bring with you

It can be quite overwhelming working out what to pack, so to help, we've produced a comprehensive, interactive checklist of essentials and other things you might want to bring, which you can download below. Keep your checklist updated when packing so you don't forget anything when you move in!

My Moving In Checklist

Moving-in dates

For students living in our halls of residence, your moving-in dates are:

Clarence Dock - Saturday 20 September – for undergraduate students living at Clarence Dock Village, including Foundation Year students.

Main Campus - Sunday 21 September – for students living on our Main Campus in Horsforth, including Foundation Year students.

Please note: the Accommodation Office will contact you via email to provide more detailed information and to confirm your specific time slot approximately one week before your arrival.

If you haven't already booked your university accommodation, please contact our Accommodation team directly by emailing accommodation@leedstrinity.ac.uk or calling 0113 283 7112.

International and visiting students

International and visiting undergraduate students should arrive close to their course start date. Visit the international area of our website for more information about when to arrive at Leeds Trinity University.

Collecting your keys

If you're moving into our halls of residence, one of the first things you will need to do when you arrive is collect your keys.

You'll receive an email nearer your moving-in date with details of how and where to pick up your keys, depending on which halls you’ll be living in.

Parking

Parking during moving-in weekend is free of charge. For students who wish to use parking facilities during term-time, there are some considerations to bear in mind.

Main Campus

Car parking onsite is extremely limited on our Main Campus, so we encourage all students living in our accommodation not to bring cars and instead to use our excellent public transport links where possible. For students living at Trinity Close, however, car parking spaces are available for £200 per year on a first-come, first-served basis.

For further details on car parking at our Main Campus, please see our Car Parking Policy.

Clarence Dock Village

Limited on-site parking is available for residents at Clarence Dock Village at no extra cost via permit. On-street parking is also available on the adjacent Clarence Road.

Bills and TV licence

If you are living in university-owned accommodation, either on our Main Campus or at Clarence Dock Village, your rent includes gas, electricity, internet and water bills, plus contents insurance. As a student, you are not liable to pay council tax.

If you are not living in one of our halls of residence, make sure you know what bills you are liable to pay. If you are unsure, you can contact our Money Advice team at moneyadvice@leedstrinity.ac.uk.

You will need to purchase your own TV licence if you plan to watch television in your bedroom and/or shared area. Find out more details about TV licensing.
