What course do you study at Leeds Trinity University?

I study Computer Science with Cyber Security.

What's the best thing about your course? What aspects do you enjoy the most?

The best thing about my course is learning how websites and processes work.

What circumstances led you to enter Clearing?

I entered Clearing due to wanting a change and to further my education following an accident in my late teens.  

Why did you choose Leeds Trinity?

I chose Leeds Trinity as it was the easiest university to commute to and after some research, I found that the course I wished to do was available even though I had no prior experience in Computer Science.

How was your Clearing experience?

My Clearing experience went quickly, within a week of applying I answered a 1,500 word question of my choice and was accepted and started the course.

How has your time at university been? Have you enjoyed your course?

At first, the initial task was daunting as I joined the course as a foundation student due to not having any prior knowledge in coding. However, through trial and error and good teaching, I was able to build a solid foundation of knowledge and skills like HTML and Python.

I was also able to make a few friends as well, as we usually go to local cafes and pubs on nice days to work through projects together.

What would be your top tip for students in the lead up to Results Day?

DON'T PANIC! I finished college with a BTECH in Engineering which is very different from Computer Science. There is more than one road to get to your destination and only you can walk it.
