What's happening?

Darren Harper is an experienced broadcaster with over 20 years’ experience, both here and in Australia. He presented a commercial radio breakfast show in Leeds for 10 years and is now the co-host of the LS11 Podcast (British Podcast Award nominee 2019). He's been teaching sports journalism, radio and podcasts for the last seven years – and has been at Leeds Trinity University for three years.

Prior to this, Darren worked in the world of sales to become the youngest regional manager for Cable & Wireless at the age of 24. In this session he will talk about the art of presenting, tips and techniques to build on your pitches, and how to deliver a perfect PowerPoint presentation.  He will also offer advice about how to present online, camera placement, lighting and maintaining eye contact in this virtual world.
