Journalism and Media Week

#LTJMW

Journalism and Media Week (JMW) is now in its seventeenth year and has established a reputation for bringing some of the most talented and well-respected people in the industry to Leeds.

The programme gives students the opportunity to hear from industry experts representing the UK’s leading broadcasters, newspapers, magazines and digital media organisations.

Over a week of talks, workshops, Q&A sessions and networking, these world-renowned broadcasters, journalists and industry leaders, including some of our own alumni, will provide a unique insight into what it’s like to work in today’s Journalism and Media industries.

Journalism and Media Week is open to students at Leeds Trinity University, students from schools, colleges, and other universities, prospective students, journalists and members of the public.

Journalism and Media Week 2025

This year's four-day programme (Monday 10 - Thursday 13 November) will be packed with speakers from the world of journalism, media, film and photography. It allowed our students, as well as those who have just embarked on their careers, to listen to those who have been doing the role for years and find out what inspired them to choose this industry, the challenges they faced and more.

Journalism and Media Week gives attendees a rare opportunity to get up close and network with their heroes and learn from a wide range of professionals seen on TV, heard on the radio and working behind the scenes to make it all come together.

Our key speakers this year include, Russell T Davies, Katharine Viner, Reeta Chakrabarti and Evan Davies.
