What support is available to help me return to study?
We understand that returning to academic study can feel daunting, especially if it's been a while.
Our Learning Hub offers one-to-one support, workshops and online resources covering everything from essay writing and referencing to using technology and developing research skills.
You can also get tailored advice from our Student Support team on managing your workload alongside your personal or professional commitments.
Can I get financial support as a mature student?
Yes.
Mature students are eligible for the same student finance options as other undergraduates, including maintenance loans.
Depending on your circumstances, you may also qualify for additional bursaries, grants or support funds.
You can find full details on our Fees and Finance page.
Will I have opportunities to get involved in student life?
Absolutely.
There are plenty of ways to connect with other students, from joining societies and attending events to taking part in workshops and campus activities.
We know that mature students often have busy schedules, so many opportunities are flexible and easy to fit around your other commitments.
