An alumnus from Leeds Trinity University will be speaking on the main stage at Europe's largest Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) conference this month.
Dan Taylor, who graduated from Leeds Trinity in 2013 with a degree in Business with Marketing, will be delivering a talk at BrightonSEO on Friday 13 September. Dan will be talking about the advantages of using serverless technologies to overcome technical obstacles.
Taking place over two days, the search marketing and networking event will welcome more than 3,500 delegates from 40 countries to participate in practical workshops, listen to industry experts, and network with like-minded global professionals.
Dan said: "Having the opportunity to speak on the main stage at the largest SEO conference in Europe is a great honour. When I started out in my career, getting an opportunity like this was almost a pipe-dream due to how many knowledgeable and established professionals there are in the field, so to have the opportunity to stand amongst them for the day is humbling."
Since graduating, Dan has firmly established himself as an expert in technical, international and local Search Engine Optimisation, working for international SEO company SALT.agency as a Technical SEO Consultant and Account Director. In his current role, he develops and implements strategies for organic search, as well as best practices for international online expansion.
Earlier this year, he won the2018 TechSEO Boost research award, in recognition of his research which he presented at the annual TechSEO Boost conference in Boston. His research focused on the use of service worker technologies, and his main stage presentation in Brighton will follow-on from this.
Brett Arnall, Alumni Relations Officer at Leeds Trinity University, said: "Hearing a story such as Dan's is a massively rewarding part of the job of an Alumni Officer. Dan is fast becoming a renowned global speaker, sharing his insight, research and best practice on a very large scale. His expertise has already been recognised after winning the prestigious TechSEO award in 2018. I have no doubt that we will continue to receive notable updates from Dan on his future successes.
"We are extremely proud that our alumni keep in touch with us and update us on their outstanding career achievements. To receive so many updates and success stories from our alumni is testament to their experience as students and their influence around the world as confident and respected professionals."
