Professor Jing, who joined Leeds Trinity University in August, has been awarded Principal Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (PFHEA) in recognition of attainment against the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education.

PFHEA recognises a sustained record of effective strategic leadership in academic practice and development as a key contribution to high quality student learning. 

Fellowship also demonstrates a personal and institutional commitment to professionalism in teaching and learning in higher education and recognises individuals influencing this across the wider UK university sector as well as internationally. 

Professor Jing said: “I am thrilled to be awarded Principal Fellowship (PFHEA) by Advance HE, representing Leeds Trinity University alongside a number of excellent academics around the world.

“As a University, we are dedicated to excellence in teaching and learning, enhancing the student experience and developing highly employable graduates. I look forward to engaging further, contributing to this community and being able to bring this experience back to Leeds Trinity.”

Professor Malcolm Todd, Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Leeds Trinity University, added: “We are extremely proud that Professor Jing has been recognised with this prestigious award. Professor Jing joins a growing network of fellowship at Leeds Trinity University, including Professor Todd, who was awarded Principal Fellowship in 2021, and National Teaching Fellow Professor Fiona Shelton, the Dean of the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching.
