Staged annually, the Degree Show is a celebration of the work of final year undergraduate and postgraduate students from Computer Science, Photography, Film, TV Production, Journalism, English, and Business programmes. Including an exhibition of student projects, a keynote talk from Emily Simpson, Director of Audiences at Opera North, and networking opportunities, this year’s Degree Show will be held at Leeds Trinity’s Main Campus in Horsforth on Wednesday 30 April, 5:00 – 8:00pm and is open to all.

The Mini-Fest, which Leeds Trinity is supporting as an Associate Sponsor, will take place between Tuesday 29 April and Thursday 1 May. It comprises 17 bespoke sessions led by some of the most exciting tech organisations in Leeds, covering topics such as artificial intelligence, cyber security, sustainability, digital marketing and more.

Professor Yanguo Jing, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Computing and Digital Industries at Leeds Trinity University, said: “Students from the Faculty of Business, Computing and Digital Industries have been keenly engaged with the Leeds Digital Festival in recent years to learn about the digital landscape in the city and explore potential career avenues. We’re really pleased that our Degree Show is a part of the Mini-Fest programme, which will help showcase the work of our talented final year and postgraduate students, many of whom will soon be bringing their skills and knowledge to the industry.”

Stuart Clarke MBE, Director of Leeds Digital Festival, added: "Leeds Digital is delighted to include Leeds Trinity's Faculty of Business, Computing and Digital Industries Degree Show in the programme for our 2025 Mini-Fest. Leeds Trinity is an important part of the tech ecosystem in the region, bringing its students and local firms together to work on challenging and important projects. We're looking forward to the great things that their 2025 graduates will achieve over the coming years."

On the opening day of the Mini-Fest, Professor Catherine O’Connor, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Education and Experience at Leeds Trinity University, will join a panel discussion about how businesses, schools and universities can join forces to inspire children to take an interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and help them thrive in their future careers. The event will take place at Accenture on Wellington Street in Leeds, 12:00 – 2:00pm.

Professor Catherine O’Connor said: “As an anchor institution committed to its role in the city and broader region, it’s important Leeds Trinity University is at the heart of conversations about ensuring workforces of the future are equipped to succeed, understand the requirements of employers and have the confidence to continually develop their skills. I’m looking forward to discussing how we can use our position to help address current skill gaps by working alongside schools and employers to encourage children to take up an interest in STEM subjects from an early age.”
