The GSL Awards are the only awards for purpose-built student accommodation which are judged entirely on student feedback. In a survey carried out last autumn, Leeds Trinity received praise from students for the “simple”, “quick” and “easy” booking experience it provides, particularly recognising the option to select their accommodation and be guaranteed a location that best meets their needs.

Following the shortlist, Damon Shaw, Head of Commercial Enterprises at Leeds Trinity University, said: “We are delighted to be a finalist for the Best Booking Experience award. It is a testament to our Accommodation team who work hard to ensure friendly, prompt responses to any queries or concerns applicants may have about their accommodation, the moving-in process or university life, underpinned by an easy-to-use online booking portal allowing self-selection.”

Having been ranked second in the UK for student experience in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide last year, the achievement strengthens Leeds Trinity’s commitment to ensuring students feel supported and valued throughout their journey with the University.

Damon added: “A positive booking experience for students is vital. It’s often one of the first connections that students make with the University, and we want to take the stress out of a difficult decision-making process and help them select what will be their home for the next year. By doing so, we can set the tone for a successful university experience and allow students to focus on settling in, excelling academically, and making the most of their time with us.”

The winners of the GSL Awards 2026 will be announced at a ceremony in London on Wednesday 14 October 2026.

Leeds Trinity offers accommodation options for both its Main Campus in Horsforth and Leeds City Campus. Each of the University’s halls of residence provides a social and supportive space with access to facilities including a communal social space, a laundrette, and a gym. They also have a live-in resident mentor and 24/7 security to ensure students feel safe and supported. Additionally, the University guarantees first-year undergraduate students a place in en-suite accommodation if booked before a set cut-off date.
