Case study
Supporting Business Growth
Researchers at Leeds Trinity University Business School (LTUBS) are working with small and medium-sized enterprises across West Yorkshire to understand how the latest academic research can help them to improve their productivity and competitiveness.
At the heart of the research is the notion of ‘absorptive capacity’, which refers to the ability of organisations to put into practice lessons learned from training, consultancy and other forms of support. This research forms part of a pan-Yorkshire project in collaboration with Leeds Beckett, Sheffield Hallam and Sheffield Universities.
The findings will help to ensure that the region’s businesses can gain maximum advantage from their participation in programmes such as Help to Grow, which LTUBS will be delivering in Autumn 2024.
