Whitby Hall

Whitby is the perfect choice if you're on a budget and want to have a traditional hall of residence experience.

Located within minutes of all the facilities on our Main Campus Horsforth, Whitby is a self-catered hall of residence with 44 bedrooms, shared bathrooms and shower rooms, and communal kitchens.

Each bedroom has a wash basin, single bed, fixed wardrobe, desk, desk chair, easy chair, reading lamp and bookshelves, with a larder fridge for storing food. Bathrooms and shower rooms are shared by around six residents.

Communal kitchens are shared by around nine students and most kitchens provide two electric hobs, two sinks, a microwave, an oven, a freezer, recycling bins and a dining table and chairs.

  Internet access is provided in every bedroom at no extra charge.
• Launderette
  You'll have access to our on-campus launderette 24/7.
• Security
  You'll be given a swipe card to enter through the front doors and security key to your study bedroom. There is 24-hour security on the campus and there are regular patrols throughout the night.​
• Catering
  The Dining Room and LTSU Trini-Tea Central are within walking distance if you fancy a change from cooking for yourself. Meal credit can be purchased using your student ID card instead of paying with cash at the till.
