Leeds Trinity University has been shortlisted for its engagement work with regional employers and as Students' Union of the Year at the Educate North Awards 2019.
The myFuture team at Leeds Trinity are shortlisted for the Employer Engagement award and Leeds Trinity Students' Union are shortlisted for Students' Union of the Year (which they previously won in 2017).
Through theLeeds Trinity Business Network, an initiative which boasts 8,000 partners, the myFuture team at Leeds Trinity offers unique business-to-business support and connects students with regional employers throughout their study.
Students can use the Network to build industry contacts, gain relevant work experience and support their employability, whilst businesses can use the Network to make good connections, raise their profile support company growth.
ThemyFuture Team are responsible for the University's business partnerships and professional work placements, and Leeds Trinity is the only university in the country to embed two compulsory professional work placements into all undergraduate degrees. The 2018 Post Placement Student Survey revealed that 93% of students felt that these placements would enable them to get a postgraduate job.

Leeds Trinity Students' Union (LTSU) is in contention for Students' Union of the Year after receiving excellent feedback in the most recent National Student Survey (NSS) and having the highest election turnout in the North West of England.
LTSU is ranked first in the Cathedrals' Group of Students' Unions, and 17th across all institutions (NSS 2018). An in-house survey scored LTSU a 90% satisfaction rate, demonstrating student interest and engagement with the organisation.
?The Union was also recently accredited with the highest Quality Students' Union mark from the NUS, which recognises quality, standards and overall effectiveness of students' unions. This covers a range of categories including services, participation, strategy, governance, representation and campaigning. ?

The Educate North Awards is in its fifth year, celebrating, recognising and sharing best practice and excellence in the education sector in the North.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony hosted by former Political Editor of BBC North West Jim Hancock on Thursday 25 April in Manchester.
